Real estate disputes involve high stakes and, often, properties that cannot simply be replaced. We represent owners, buyers, sellers, investors and commercial tenants in New York state and federal courts, pursuing practical solutions and litigating decisively when necessary.
Disputes we handle
- Failed sales. Buyers or sellers who back out of a signed contract, disputes over the return of down payments, and actions to compel a sale (specific performance).

- Title and boundary disputes. Quiet title actions, adverse possession, easements, encroachments and disputed deeds, including deeds signed under fraud or undue influence.

- Construction disputes. Contractor defects, delays, mechanic’s liens and payment disputes.
- Broker and escrow disputes. Commission claims and conflicts over funds held in escrow.
Our approach
Real estate cases often turn on documents: the contract, the deed, the lease, the title report. We analyze them closely at the outset and, when necessary, move quickly to protect the property itself, for example by filing a notice of pendency to prevent a sale while the case is pending. We look for early resolution where it serves your interests and prepare every case as though it will go to trial.
