Contracts keep business moving until one side stops performing. Whether you are owed money, accused of breaching an agreement, or facing a lender enforcing a personal guaranty, we represent you from the demand letter through judgment and collection.
Disputes we handle
- Breach of contract. Supply, distribution, services, construction, sale-of-business and licensing agreements.
- Unpaid invoices and collections. Recovering what your customers owe, and enforcing judgments against their assets.
- Personal guaranties and business loans. Defending owners who are pursued personally for company debts, and negotiating resolutions with lenders and landlords.
- Business fraud and misrepresentation. Claims arising from false financial statements, concealed liabilities in a business sale, or misuse of funds.
- Frozen bank accounts and restraining notices. Moving quickly to challenge improper restraints and restore access to operating funds.
- Unfair competition. Misuse of trade secrets, customer lists or confidential information by former employees or business partners.
- Disputes arising from business purchases. Claims between buyers and sellers of businesses, such as undisclosed debts, broken non-competes or unpaid installments. See Buying & Selling a Business.
Our approach
We start by reading the contract closely, since most commercial cases are won or lost on its language, and by gathering the documents and messages that tell the real story, including WeChat and other communications. We then pursue the most efficient path to a result: a firm demand, early mediation, a motion that ends the case, or trial when necessary.
